The Board of Advice and Arbitration holds first meeting to address procedural and logistic matters
WILLEMSTAD, 3 October 2018 – At the initiative of Mr. Fred Wiel, who was appointed by means of the governmental decree dated 12 of July 2018, nr. 18/2258 (Case number 2017/043108), as the President of the Board of Advice and Arbitration regulated by article 11 of the ordenance ‘Landsverordening Georganiseerd Overleg in Ambtenarenzaken’ (P.B. 2008, no. 70), a first meeting of the Board took place in the meeting room of the SER/GOA at Angsinghstraat this morning; it was the first meeting to deal with procedural and logistic matters.
During this meeting all members and substitute members of the Board were present, with the exception of the substitute member Mr. Oscar Dalnoot who for unforeseen reasons could not attend. The members and substitute members made use of this opportunity to get to know each other betterr and together develop a method on how to address the tasks of advice and arbitration as described in the abovementioned ordenance.
Furthermore, the Board talked about aspects such as how they would like to be supported on technical, logistic and administrative level and what renumeration the members will receive for their work.
It was agreed that the Secretariat of SER/GOA will advise the Board in carrying out its legal work and that it will evaluate if the amount, which is currently budgeted for the tasks of the Board of Advice and Arbitration, needs to be adjusted.
